“A Handful of Hats” is a modern circus company founded by Pete Gamble, whose experience and credentials span lecturing in hospitality, sports management and the circus world…..
Based in Barry, South Wales, UK, this glorious gathering of circus skills trainers, whip crackers, knife throwers, lasso spinner and bubble monsters have performed across the UK , Europe and the USA and love nothing better than to share the joy of non animal circus with charm and fabulous characters and costumes.
Recently elected to The Bullwhip Hall of Fame alongside Harrison Ford and Michelle Pfeiffer by the great and good of the circus world, he founded the British Sports Whip Cracking Conventions, and has won International awards in the UK, Texas and the Czech Republic.
He rekindled interest in circus performance whip cracking, introduced knife and axe throwing to circus conventions in 2003 and was the first live target knife thrower to ever appear at Glastonbury Festival.
“ More Danger?” has echoed through circus tents, county halls, wedding venues, sun drenched Mediterranean beaches, Texas deserts, bars in Belgium and even in front of the Queen.
